Wander in the street markets


If you are looking for an alternative way to spend your time in Halkidiki, then you should definitely visit some of the street markets. They are fun, they have a more traditional character and you can find interesting, local goods. Well, sometimes all you need is shopping and indulging yourself in authentic Greek products, from wine to dairy products and mini souvenirs, clothes and more. 
Shop till you drop!
Street markets are usually open from early morning and they last till the afternoon. You could start by strolling around the brightly colored stalls weighed down with fresh produce of olives and honey. Sift through the racks of clothes and leather bags and finish with a visit to wineries, where you can taste and buy some of the most famous wines! After spending ample amount of time in the winery, walk to the nearest tavern and enjoy the delicious Macedonian cuisine!

Friday: Nikiti, Simantra 
Saturday: Paleochora, Polygyros, Sykia, Riza-Paleochora
Extra tip: Visit the market of Nea Moudania. The best one by far!!
